We Are All Hurting A Little

Have you ever had one of those days where everything just seems to go wrong? The morning starts off with a missed alarm, the traffic is worse than usual, and you’re just not in the mood for anything. The weight of the world feels heavy on your shoulders, and you can’t shake off that feeling of frustration. But then, something miraculous happens.

You’re driving home from work, and out of nowhere, your favorite song starts playing on the radio. It’s that one song that has always had a way of lifting your spirits, no matter how heavy your heart was. You might have been mad, you might have been tired, but as soon as those familiar notes start to play, you find yourself singing along, and for a moment, all the tension, the anger, the sadness – it all fades away. It’s like a warm hug that you didn’t realize you needed, but it feels just right.

Life has a way of throwing us curveballs, doesn’t it? We fear change, we fear the unknown, and we fear seeing those around us growing older. It’s natural to feel anxious about the future and to worry about what lies ahead. Yet, in these moments of fear and uncertainty, there are tiny blessings that remind us we’re not alone.

One of those blessings is the innocence and joy of little children. Spending time with them has an incredible healing power. Their laughter is pure, their smiles are contagious, and their faith is unwavering. When I’m around kids, I see the world through their eyes – a world full of wonder, excitement, and endless possibilities. They remind me of the simple joys in life and the beauty of living in the moment. It’s as if God speaks through them, showing me the beauty of His creation in its purest form.

And then there are my amazing friends, whether we have been through thick and thin together or we just met a year ago. Our bond is not just about shared memories but also about the unspoken support we give each other. They are the family I chose, and their presence in my life is a constant reminder of God’s love and grace. We laugh together, we cry together, and some we even pray together. Our friendships are a testament to the fact that we are never truly alone, that God’s love is reflected in the people He places in our lives, always for a reason.

Church is another sanctuary for me. It’s a place where I find peace and solace, where I can lay down my burdens and lift my hands in worship. The sermons, the songs, the fellowship – it all comes together to remind me that I am part of something greater than myself and part of a community that feel the same way. It’s in the quiet moments of prayer and reflection that I feel the most connected to God, and it’s in these moments that I find the strength to face whatever comes my way.

My family. They are my rock, my foundation, my everything. The love we share is a beautiful example of unconditional love and support. Whether it’s a simple dinner together, a heartfelt conversation, or just being in each other’s presence, these moments are precious. My family teaches me every day what it means to love selflessly, to forgive endlessly, and to support unconditionally. They are my greatest blessing, and I am so grateful for each one of them.

And of course, my job. My first job out of college, the one I thought would just be a paycheck to get me on my feet. A way to make rent. Boy was I wrong. I’ve grown to absolutely adore my job. Bay Stage Live is not just a company; it’s a family. It’s where I get to express my creativity, work alongside amazing people, and contribute to events that bring joy and inspiration to others. The work we do is more than just business; it’s about creating experiences, making memories, and bringing people together. It’s a place where I feel fulfilled, where I see purpose in every project, every event, and every interaction.

In the midst of all the chaos, the fears, and the uncertainties, it’s these moments of grace, these little reminders of God’s love, that keep me going.

Whether it’s a song on the radio, a child’s laughter, the warmth of friendship, the peace of church, the love of family, or the joy of my work – these are the things that heal us, that remind us we are never alone, and that we are deeply loved.

So, if you’re feeling a little lost, a little hurt, or a little overwhelmed today, take a moment to look around. Find the small, beautiful moments that remind you of God’s love. Embrace them, cherish them, and let them heal you. Because we are all hurting a little, but we are also all healing a little too. And in the end, it’s this journey, with all its ups and downs, that makes life so beautifully precious.
