Cherishing the Little Moments

You’re always more loved than you know.

Have you ever stopped to think about all of the ways you are loved? I mean really think about. Think back to your childhood, when your parents tirelessly asked if you'd finished your homework. You probably concocted every excuse imaginable as to why you couldn't complete it without their help, and yet, their response was always along the lines of "do your best, and I'll check it later." In my opinion, that's a profound expression of love. Along with all of the "when will you be home", make good choices", and even the "I'm disappointed in you" texts and conversations. I believe that often, love manifests itself in the smallest gestures and unexpected moments, quietly affirming that we're cherished far more than we might realize.

It's the little things that often speak the loudest. Like the way your best friend knows exactly how you’re feeling just by the way you answer the phone. Or how your significant other instinctively reaches for your hand when they sense you need comfort, without a single word exchanged. It’s those moments when someone says, "This made me think of you," that truly resonate. Whether it's a song, a book, or even a passing sight, these simple words carry with them a world of sentiment. It's a reminder that you occupy a special place in someone's heart, that they carry you with them even in the mundane moments of their day.

One of the most beautiful aspects of love is its ability to manifest in unique and personal ways. Maybe your dad isn't one to say I love you often, but he never fails to remind you that the day you were born was the best day of his life. Or the way your mom expresses her love by making your favorite meal when you come home to visit and always has the pantry full of your favorite snacks.

But it's not just within our families and close relationships that we find these expressions of love. Sometimes, it's in the way a stranger holds the door open for you, or the smile exchanged with a person passing by on the street. These fleeting moments of connection serve as gentle reminders that we are seen, valued, and loved by those around us.

And let's not forget the joy of being the one who teaches others how to love. Whether it's showing a friend how to make the perfect cup of coffee or acknowledging your coworker’s recent accomplishments, there's something incredibly special about being the source of someone else's happiness and growth.

So, whenever you find yourself questioning the love around you, take a moment to revisit these small but profound moments. They're like tiny whispers from the universe, gently reminding you of the love that surrounds you, even in the quietest of times. And above all, cling to the belief in your own ability to both give and receive love, as it knows no limits.
